New Balance began as a Boston-based arch support company in the early 1900s, developed into a specialized manufacturer of shoes in the 1970s, and has grown to become a leading global athletic products company. Today New Balance is a family of brands including New Balance, Dunham, PF Flyers, Aravon, Warrior and Brine.
Since the days of selling arch supports to police officers and waiters, New Balance has been a brand concerned with meeting the needs of the everyday athlete. Athletic shoe that blends in with business casual -
If you're looking for a comfortable shoe that is unobtrusive enough not to be noticed when you're not working out, this can fill the need. I need a presentable shoe that is comfortable and can accommodate an orthotic.

I bought this shoe in silver earlier and was very pleased with the fit. I usually wear a size 6.5 W or WW, and the W size in this shoe fits like a glove. I've also purchased the burgundy patent and they both look like a million bucks. The heel is extremely high in such a small size, which makes walking a rather precarious thing. I'll confess, I didn't buy them for walking around. :) There isn't enough arch support for my high arches, and walking/standing tippy toes makes the ball of my foot hurt within a very short time. But they don't pinch my toes, which is awesome.

Warm and cozy -
These shoes are VERY comfortable and will keep your feet warm this winter. They accommodate my high arches and pesky bone spur on the top of one foot. I have them in black - they look great with jeans, pants - the detail adds style and pizzazz.

Affordable, lightweight, super fit, awesome appearance!
This is one of the best shoes I have ever owned. I have wide feet and could never get a shoe that fit me years ago. Thanks to NB, I can get amazing shoes that allow me to walk for miles in comfort. This is my second pair. I had the red ones before and these are twice as sharp! Go NB.

I love this shoe!
I broke my left foot in the spring and have had trouble finding shoes that are comfortable, stylish and have good support. This shoe was comfortable right out of the box. Thank you New Balance and Zappos.

Be smart and buy this boot. It has a very stable heel and wonderful padding inside. My feet are getting old and tired...but I can still wear a Sudini without any trouble! This would be my third pair of Sudini's...and I highly recommend them to you.

Great shoe -
I ordered a size 14 4e. This is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I can stand and walk all day in these shoes without foot fatigue. I am very pleased with them so far. I have been wearing them everyday for about a month without any issues.

Great run about town shoe -
I bought two pair the black and gray. The heel does slip a little, but not in a bad way. Very comfortable on the sole of the feet. I bought the 8W they fit perfect. I love them.

Very comfortable sneaker. I have had problems with other sneakers where my feet would hurt half way through the day. I bought these right before a big trip. I was able to walk all day without any discomfort.

What I needed -
I've been looking for wide basketball shoes and these were exactly what I needed. Been frustrated with most manufactures and stores since they don’t carry any wide sizes or styles. Been happy with these so far with the extra wide size. Overall happy with the style of these shoes with the all black look, velcro strap over the laces.

De-evolution of a decent walking shoe -
The functionality and quality of these shoes has deteriorated with each new version. When I first started wearing the 963 about six years ago, the shoe was ugly but a great, durable, and lightweight walker. The 964 wasn't bad, a bit heavier, but the waterproofing didn't really work. The 965 was clunky, heavy, and the metal eyelets dug into the top of my foot. Now, the 966 doesn't fit well, is too heavy, cheaply-made, and ug-go-lee. It slips off your foot because there's no eyelet at the top. The leather web on the tongue doesn't even connect at the bottom, so water will pour right in. Not worth the price. It's too bad. New Balance used to make good shoes.

New balance first pair -
This is the first time we tried this brand. Our little one still choose her Ecco boot over this new shoe. The size seems to run half size bigger than what we expected. However, we are very pleased with Zappos customer service. We received our order in two days!

They Just Work...
... My father in law turned me on to these and they have been very comfortable. I'm a photographer and I am on my feet all day so the shoes I wear make a big difference on my feet and knees and these are all I wear.

Looks great, not so comfortable -
These shoes look great, are a good true size, however I find them to be somewhat flat in terms of arch support, and comfort. They feel to me to be more like a dress shoe than a trainer. I am very pleased with them, just find them to be less comfortable than other casual/classic shoes that I have. That said I have no regrets in purchasing them.

I wear these shoes 8-10 hrs a day as a medical assistant and my feet still feel great at 5:00 p.m. Love that NB makes lots of styles in wide widths. I always have to go up 1/2 a size, but that is with every style of NB, so since it's across-the-board I always know what size to order.

These shoes held up to a 17 hour day of shopping on Black Friday. This is the first time I've been able to find a shoe that's stylish and comfortable. Love all my NB shoes - most are offered in wide width, which is great!!!
