The Lugz brand was launched in October of 1993, with the initial product consisting of two styles of boots, a quilted vest and a pair of jeans. Lugz footwear was “built for the city” - aggressively styled using the highest quality materials for maximum durability and superior comfort. Featuring premium leathers and durable construction Lugz shoes are designed with the fashion forward customer in mind.
Soon Lugz was endorsed by key players from the world of hip hop and has continued to do so through out the years. This support lead to a collaborative line with hip-hop superstar Bryan “Baby” Williams, aka “Birdman” with his own series of sneakers and boots.
In 2006 Orange County Choppers, the world’s premier builders of custom motorcycles signed on to endorse Lugz shoes. The Orange County Choppers family continues to endorse Lugz footwear and has lead to Orange County Choppers’ Paul Teutul Jr.’s signature Lugz shoe, the Torx.
From its auspicious inception Lugz footwear has been an innovator in the footwear market from its trend setting styles such as the Strutt, Drifter, and Charger.
Creating animation character themes such as the Jokaz and producing steel toe boot versions of some Lugz’s signature styles and expanding to create Lugz Kids shoes are a few ways Lugz footwear has broadened its appeal.
As a fashion-forward brand, the corporate mission is dedicated to offering fashion, quality and style. Over the years, these concepts have helped the Lugz brand become a leader in urban footwear.

Very chic. Ok on comfort - they are not UNcomfortable, but the heel is high for me, so I won't be able to wear them for hours and hours at a time. I love them with skirts and dark denim for going out. Seychelles always run big for me...I wear a 7 - 7 1/2 --> I ordered a 6 1/2 and they fit well.

I have had several pairs of Lugz and they have been great. I saw these and needed a new pair of black shoes, so I went with them. They are very comfortable and are as durable as the other Lugz I have had.

I love my Lugz!
I've been wearing Lugz for a few years now. I use them for a light work boot and casual dress boot. I've tried other brands, but these are the best looking, most comfortable boots I've ever owned. There is no break-in period. And the price is very reasonable for what you get! I bought two pairs this time, black and coffee bean, and am satisfied with both. Both pair fit perfect and look great! And the service that Zappos gives you is unbelievable! I'll never shop at the mall again!

A very decent and strong shoe. My only complaint is that in the time it took to break them in, the low rise tops blistered the back of my ankles. Now that they're a bit worn in, this isn't so much a problem. The shoe also breathes well.

Having worn Timberland for a few years, I didn't find these as comfortable. But at half the price, I'm pretty happy with them. They feel heavier than Timberland, but seem to have better traction and a bit more padding inside.

At first the shoe was a bit uncomfortable, but I changed to thinner socks and after a short break-in period they are now very comfortable. It's a good shoe.

I love the way the Lugz look and they fit and feel great. In my opinion it’s better than Tims or other boots BUT it is extremely difficult to keep clean. I had it the first week and after a night of going out the fronts were all scuffed up. It is light colored suede therefore very easy to dirty up with black patches and the material is really easy to scratch.

Looks can be deceiving -
I had a pair of Lugz in 2000. These boots don't even come close. No arch or heel support. And the quality has seemed to have diminished. The leather feels more like "pleather". They might crack on a cold day!

I have worn just about every brand shoe. I ware this style shoe for work and have done the same job for 40 years. Seven years ago I was given a pair of LUGS as a gift. These shoes are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. Since then I have bought 3 pairs and have been very happy with the quality and the comfort, (from the first day I put on brand new LUGZ they are comfortable, no break in time).
